Further to yesterday's blog...
My husband thinks skilling up the young people to be able to cook is a good plan. He also feels we should give them practice in 'life management skills,' ie doing our hoovering and ironing!!
Not sure what the young people would have to say about that one!

I love your blog, especially the writings about the youth. I think I am one of those people who was "called' to work with them. (Like you spoke about in one of your earlier blogs.) As far as the hoovering and ironing goes, you are right, they probably will hate it. But it has been my experience, if you give them a chance, they may not like it, but they will surprise you as to how good they can do it.
